Encryption & Security
Your password is never stored in plain text. We use industry-standard hashing to protect credentials at rest. Private messages between members are stored with encryption. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data from unauthorized access.
Message Images
Images shared in private messages are accessible only to the participants of that conversation. They are stored in a private, access-controlled storage system and are never publicly accessible. All message images are automatically and permanently deleted after 30 days. This deletion is irreversible.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to operate the Bones Community platform — to power your profile, enable messaging, and display listings and events. We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising purposes.
Right to Erasure (Right to Be Forgotten)
You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. When you delete your account, your profile, messages, and personal information are permanently removed from our systems. This is a legal right under applicable data protection legislation and we honor it fully. Some anonymized activity records may be retained for a short period for legal or security purposes before being purged.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use session cookies and local storage only for authentication and to maintain your preferences. We do not use tracking or third-party advertising cookies.
